Love Letters to Offices

For 1 month I moved my studio to the World Trade Centre of The Hague, appointing myself the artist in residence for this period. ‘Love Songs for Offices’ is the film (55 mins) that documents this month.

“A very disillusioned artist, on the run from art school, stumbles across this corporate maze and is surprised to find an unexpected sense of freedom and relief there. Setting up studio on the empty floors, the infiltrator hides out and subtly intervenes in the building as the self-appointed artist-in-residence, not as an antagonist or saboteur but as someone who wants to understand and observe, get closer - find common ground rather than division. And at the same time, never accepting reality as it is, always looking for ways to hack and corrupt, leak other realities into the dominant social order...for as long as it can last.”
